Mrs. Burns's Kindergarten Earth Day Books

Lincoln School in River Forest, Illinois is home to Mrs. Burns's Kindergarten!  We had a great time collaborating with Mr. Clarey's 1st grade class from Grace McWayne School in Batavia for a special Skype in the Classroom Earth Day project, How Can We Improve Our Earth?

After reading many Earth Day books, watching a few videos, and taking a nature walk, K Kids identified problems facing our area and suggested solutions.  When we met via Skype with Mr. Clarey's class, both groups of students were eager to share their ideas, and hear some new ones!

K Kids each wrote a short book using the iPad app, Book Creator, which described one of Earth's problems and how it could be solved to improve our Earth.
